Hi - I was wondering - are we allowed to ask about products and if anyone has used them and a review/opinion?

I'm going to go ahead and ask and I'll appologise in advance if this isn't acceptable! Please remove it and accept my apology and I promise I'll sit down, shut up and behave!

I'm wondering if anyone has used either of the following products:

    Epi Pet Sunscreen

    and

    Mushers Secret Paw Protection

I took my dog to the vet today with oozy bumps all over her snout we're treating it like an allergy for now and seeing what happens with it, the vet doesn't feel it is anything more than that - but possibilities exist - with our move to a much much sunnier environment coming soon the vet recommended using sunscreen on that area - so I've looked into it and it seems the only one recommended for dog use is the Epi Pet sunscreen - just wondering if anyone has used this and what its like and how effective is it etc etc etc

Also the vet said for the first while until she adjusts (and depending on the day and activity) that a paw protection might not be the worst idea - she suggested boots/booties - which would last about 4 seconds on a very peeved off doggy! So I've been reading into the Mushers Secret - its meant for extreme hot and cold - which is NY perfectly! So I'm thinking it would be a good all arounder alternative to the boots/booties - so again wondering if anyone has used this and what its like and how effective is it etc etc....

Again - many appologies if this isn't acceptable to discuss here - if so please remove and accept my humble appologies from my quiet corner where I shall remain!

Mushers Secret is excellent, I've used it on my huskies during the winter. It wouldn't protect a dog enough from very hot pavements I wouldn't have thought though. If you start using it now, it will toughen the pads up. If you did go for booties, try the cordura ones that mushers use, as they protect the pads, but also allow the dog to lose heat through them. A lot of the thicker boots don't allow that heat dissipation.
