Eml light

    My eml light comes on everyso often. The water temperature gauge goes up to top then returns yo normal. I drive 02 peujeot 206
    Is something seriously wrong. Thanks

    When the eml comes on you need to get fault codes read.
    Water temp rising is usually bad thing although in this case it may be the sensor.
    Do you plan to address this DIY?

    Try to. The gague only goes up for a couple of secs then straight back down to normal

    I assume you already checked that you have enough coolant in car?
    Do you have a code reader?

    Mate of mine has reader. Plenty coolant. Just don't want car to die when on hols..

    Anything is possible. Get the codes read asap by your mate and go from there.
    It's possible it's just a temp sensor but I wouldn't take it on long drives until problem is diagnosed.
