Just been waved at by a cards with a speed gun, the kind of wave to tell you to slow down.

Have I been done ? He didn't pull me over !

What kind of wave means slow down?

I'm guessing the op means hand up and down as per rotr.

He may have spotted you speeding but you were too close to get you to stop safely so warned you.

If its on a tripod they don't have to stop you but handheld he would.

used to indicate you are slowing down but recognised as the signal to slow down in general.

Maybe I don't drive around excessively speeding. A guard has never had a need to tell me to slow on.

I rememeber the indicator failing in one car, I was driving. Was the most terrifying drive ever. Gave lots of time with the signal which other road users, simply chose to ignore or maybe didn't understand. I'll never know.

Well, If you encounter a guard with his paw up, palm facing you, he's not waving hello. He's saying stop.

Who do you think you are educating here. You are coming across as a complete smart ass.

Got the same from a guard who had been hiding with a speed gun on the quays a few weeks back. Was about 5k over. Presumably he wasn't arsed pulling someone for so little over the limit. You're ok OP.
