Audio device problem MK4 Golf

    Alright so I've the standard Beta radio unit in my 04 golf and I went ahead and purchased a device that I could use to connect to the radio unit so it could play music off my Iphone and charge it at the same time. Installed it anyway and followed the instructions given wasn't any problems till I tried to test it to see if it would work and it wouldn't basically its ment to by pass the cd changer but this doesn't seem to happen, everytime i press the CD button on the radio unit it just makes a beep and says no cd changer wondering does anyone know what the problem might be? It charges my phone alright but wont play any of my music from the phone which I find strange. Any help would be grateful :)

    The device that I'm on about is a connects2 - Part No. CTAVGIPOD003.2

    I would post a link or picture of it but I can't yet :P

    Are you sure you have it plugged into the cd changer input?

    Most likely the unit is not compatible with your radio
