Larson wasn't working so tried the dad's advice . A biscuit tin lid with an egg cracked onto it. I tucked myself into the hedge and with 2 shots from 12 b 28g71/2 at 35 yards got 9 magpies. The following day got 3 grey crows with one shot. Although short barrels and open chokes might've helped!!!!!

I'll give it a try as I'm tired of sitting hiding waiting for them, and when they do turn up they skip about grab the grub and **** off with it. At least with the egg they'll have to sit still and feed. I'm shooting them with a 22lr, so I need them still ish. Only got three last week, there seems to be either not many still alive in this area or they are copping on.

You should try this set up!

It's a cradle made from an old clothes hanger, with a dead bird as decoy!;)

    Nice shooting.

Wouldn't call it lucky - you did it more than once.

My luckiest had to be a Teal that sprung from a drain, shotgun one handed, two Widgeon in the other hand! Pure fluke, pretended to my mate I intended to hit it! Calm on the inside, beaming on the inside!!
