Red/ Pink Astra

I am hoping to sell on my 04 Astra except the red paint has faded to pink on the bonnet and roof. Is there any product I could pick up that could bring the red up back into it?


Also I damaged my wing mirror. I know I can pick up a replacement mirror pane easily enough but is there anywhere I could pick up the surrounding cover for it?the electronics still work fine in it. Like a scrap yard somehwere ? I am based in Lucan. Thanks

The roof could do with machine polish with a compound or heavy polish.

What you buy or do depends on your wallet.

If you want cheap get it out of way diy by hand get some t-cut and cheap microfiber towels from motor factor halfords.

Halfords also have a range of G brand polish/compound for little extra. (G6 maybe can't remember)

If you want all out diy speak to lads in detailing section and they could give you a multitude of options.

Or for say 300 ish maybe less maybe more get a pro detailer to get car looking spankingly shiny red once again with a bit of wax on top to.

I am looking for the cheapest way to get decent results. That t-cut with microfibre seems to be the way.

T cut original be the one.

Wash car first. Then Work in quarters, like 2 feet sections. Easier to see what your doing to paint in long run.

And seal it with a wax or sealer afterwards

Aye that be handy to, just in case you don't sell it to quick. Wax will help stop the oxidation that turns paint pink.

Leave turtle wax light red stuff, it basically same as t-cut.

Try something like these wax wise.
