My daughter finished college 15 May and signed on 18th May. I have 3 other children in secondary school one 18 doing leaving cert this year. Today my daughter received her statement of means and the only calculated 2 of my other children. Can anyone tell me is this right? Seems unfair the 18 year old cannot sign on for 3…

Seems unfair the 18 year old cannot sign on for 3 months after leaving school, gets no child benefit and intends to go to college in September - so why was the 18 year old not allocated the €30 dependent child amount?
