Sting's next step?

I don't know about anyone else but I miss Sting. Him being on Raw felt new and fresh and interesting, and those are not descriptions I'd use for Raw at the minute.

While I don't think he ought to be used in a full-time capacity, I do find it pretty bizarre that one of the main attractions for this year's Wrestlemania appears to have gone off the radar altogether. Even with the Japanese tour coming up you'd wonder could he not be involved in some fashion.

Looking further ahead, I suspect we will see Sting again at next year's Wrestlemania. My guess is they will do the long-talked about match with Undertaker in Texas. If that is the plan, I think Sting ought to have at least one more opponent ahead of that event as going into it with a 0-1 record in WWE doesn't leave him looking very strong against the guy with the best Mania record ever.

I reckon that a match between Sting and Chris Jericho at Summerslam would be a great fit. Jericho is set to be involved with Tough Enough and they could for instance have Sting appear in some form on the programme and set up an angle between the two men. The reason i say Jericho is because you would think he would be able to get a good match out of Sting and it feels like a fresh encounter (I'm not sure the two ever fought in WCW?)

Anyway I'm hoping we see him again soon in some feud, because I remember when he spoke in the aftermath of his loss to HHH and how he seemed to be pretty deflated.

What do you think? Should he have a match at Summerslam? Wait until the road to Wrestlemania to return? Be on TV in a non-wrestling role? Just ride off into the sunset now and be done with it?

I think Sting still has more to give, after seeing his match with Triple H at WrestleMania. I really want to see him have a big win on a big stage. The mark in me would love to see him challenge Seth Rollins, but that's a step backwards, I know. However, he seems to be in a better condition than a lot of others were when they were his age. When Sting finishes, I hope it's on top. Therefore, if he loses to The Undertaker, I think he should have his own finale at a later date. Something tells me if this match goes ahead next year though, that could be it for both men.

It was the first time I ever saw him wrestle a match Live on TV. I missed out on watching WCW and I never bothered with TNA. I only saw Sting in archived WWE footage on WWE Network and even then I marked out like hell when he first made appearance on WWE.

And yet I never marked out when Goldberg first appeared on WWE 12 years ago... weird...

    I digress, though.

Him vs. Taker would settle it, for me.

They should have him end Kane's career or something. It would help build up his feud with taker for next year.

They won't let a lifelong wwe vet lose to someone who is tagged as the embodiment of wcw. then again I never thought they would pull the trigger on the streak so anything is possible

I really hope he does something with his hair between now and then.

He had quite a sizeable bald spot visible in his Mania Match, and towards the end, his hair ended up looking like it was a bird ready to take flight out of a nest or something

I hadn't seen Sting wrestle too much in TNA, so I, too, was surprised to see that he'd done a Big Ernie.

He has to appear and win a match before he leaves can you imagine waiting all these years to sign with WWE and then finishing up without even a win

He can be the new Scotty Goldman (Colt Cabana) who I think only ever won one match in the WWE

Basically what you just said is what made me make my original statement, ha ha.

Have a buried alive match with Triple H at SummerSlam so "Tri" can finish the job ;)

You can't talk about terrible hair when Hogan is right beside him looking gormless.

My first thought when I saw that was, how has this not been turned into some sort of meme?

Sting wins MITB, then shows up semi regularly in the rafters stalking HHH's protégé Seth Rollins. His cash in attempt is thwarted by HHH and the Authority. Eventually his quest for vengeance is aided when The Undertaker evens the odds, setting up Sting + Undertaker v HHH + Rollins at Royal Rumble. Sting and Taker win that match and their WM match follows.

Remind me, how will this make Reigns look strong?

Good point... Triple Threat at Mania with Reigns going over?

Hogan embraced his baldness, though, whereas Sting had evidently gone to pains to cover it up with a combover job, only for it to comically unravel as the match unfolded. Hogan is wearing a bandana in that photo, which is a part of his look, but not under the pretense that anyone doesn't know he's rocking a skullet underneath it.

A rematch with Triple H at SummerSlam maybe? Always a possibility regardless of whether I'd like to see it or not.

HHH, Taker, Austin & Foley v Hall, Nash, Hogan & Sting.
