Proplem with Dimplex Duoheat 400i Combination Heater.

    This is a combined direct/storage heater.

    Problem is that the touch screen panel to reduce the direct element does not reduce heat output (there is a child lock facility but this lock is not enabled).

    Direct element section at full output - does not respond to (electronic) control panel.

    (I suspect the dreaded electronics are at play here!)

    Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

    Just an an add on thought to my post - rather than try to repair the unit - could I simply instal a room thermostat to contol the mains input?
