220V versus 12 volt cabeling

    Hi everybody, a question for the electrically minded,! I intend to fit a reversing siren to my motorhome , wiring it off the reversing lights, . Is it ok to use some 220V two core flex which was surples to requirement on a job around the house. Thanks in advance, Sime.

    Its fine, albeit probably a bit heavy to be using

    For a low draw item like this it should be fine, I have in my foolish younger years ran into issues using it for heavy draw items where the insulation melted pretty easily, eventually causing a short.
