The year one report on the implementation of the National Radon Control Strategy for Ireland has just been published.

    http://www.environ.ie/en/Publications/Environment/EnvironmentalRadiation/FileDownLoad,41638,en.pdf

    Proposals include:

Shortening TGD C and specify minimum barrier thickness when being used as DPM.

    Developing a radon website.

Include radon as a sign-off under Building Control Regs.

Get CIF to run training courses on radon prevention for site staff.

Include radon in the conveyancing process.

Is it just going to be a case of more self-regulating legislation?

    so specialist certification for:
    air tightness
    thermal bridge calculations
    sound testing

    and now

    radon assessment

theres a fine little sub industry forming here in the self regulation market ;)

    Not to mention specific products......

what ive found with one specific big product provider *ahen kingspan ahem* is that they wont provide 'certification' of their products but rather "verification"
