first time camping. where? etc

    Hi all. I'm thinking of taking the kids camping for the first time. They are 5. Just looking for some good locations around Munster mainly for the first time.
    Also somewhere that has nearby attractions to keep the kids busy.
    And finally all I will have is basic camping gear. Tent. Sleeping bags. Is there other stuff that would be considered essential.

    I was in the same boat as yourself and we ended up in Eagle Point camping, in Ballylickey, just outside Bantry in West Cork.
    Beautiful spot, we are just back from there and we had a great time. Weather wasn't great but that's Ireland!

    Lovely campsite with good facilities. Great location for all the town has to offer and they offer a deal for the Aqua Dome.
    Regarding gear - plenty of layers! Have a blast - the kids will love it!:D
