Changing from a focus to A4. Madness?

I'm considering changing from an 05 Focus to a 2008 Audi A4 2.0 new shape. The focus is a 1.6 TDCI with 188000 miles on it. It's only worth around 2500. I'd have to fork out at least 8.5 k along with my focus to get into the Audi. Is it way too much to go up 3 years? Anything I need to look out for on the A4? I'm checking out a 2008 A4 with 133000 miles, valued at 10995. Very clean 2.0 diesel but is it worth the money?

at first glance, no I dont think it is too much, you are moving up to a higher class car and going up 3 years. There are guys looking to change their 5 series, e class etc, and they are being asked for 12-15k to go up one year, for the entry level models, now that is crazy!

you may be best off selling your own privately and buying cash, depends if you are bothered with the hassle, how much does the money mean to you...

    there are lots of factors...
