Hey, just looking for advice on what kind of supplies to get I'll probably be camping for a week and a half along the Greenway next week, there is some campsites along the way,

I'm gonna try and buy the blade 200( a good waterproof lightweight tent for carrying while your cycling
One guy in the camping store in blanchardstown said he can get it for me for 235, just wondering if there is any place cheaper in town to get this than 235.

I'll probably hire out a bike to cycle and carry the camping supplies in the 2 pannier bags and probably a rucksack, any advice for this trip or what other lightweight supplies would be welcome, and any tips thanks.

The route isnt really that long (for a bike journey). Starting from Westport, one could cycle out and back in one day if you're fit enough (we've done that before). But its probably more manageable and leisurely to cycle out and back over a couple of days. There are plenty of B&B/Hotel options in Westport, Newport, Mulranny and Achill. But for camping I think you'll only have a choice of camping at Westport house and again in Achill (either end of the greenway). I would recommend spending a couple of days in Achill (beautiful place). In between the towns (Westport, Newport, Mullrany, Achill Sound) the route goes through farmers land and a disused train track so I doubt anywhere would be suitable for camping on (or just off) the actual greenway.

Thanks, yeh, I'll be taking my time specially round Achill Island, I might meander a bit off the cycle trek here and there I'll see, be nice if there was more cycle ways, I'd be a bit wary cycling on small winding roads with cars otherwise.

I can also recommend cycling back the coastal route to Mulranney if you want a bit of variety for the return leg, very little traffic on the road and stunning views across clew bay
