I have decided to sign up for home phone & unlimited broadband but i'm confused which one have the best service. Wanted to sign up for UPC but unfortunately the service is not in my area.

Which one is the best and has good package for unlimited broadband & free landline to all mobiles and price? I'm a heavy live-streams watcher and i download movies a lot. :)

    Thanks

Depends , I think VF likes to play safe and will fix your maximum broadband speed what they think will be constant speed eg if your phone line handles speeds up to 17mb they'll give you 10mb guaranteed - no more no less while Eircom leaves you tap fully open , sometimes you'll get 14mb but sometimes 15mb and sometimes 17mb

Not sure if that rule applies to every village, town or city in Ireland but that's my personal experience.

    VODAFONE

    €25 for first 3 months
    €55 thereafter

    Unlimited broadband usage allowance
    Unlimited landline to landline calls
Unlimited landline to all Irish mobile calls
    Free modem
    Free installation

    EIRCOM

€25 per month, first 6 months for new customers*
    €58 per month thereafter
    Unlimited Broadband Usage allowance
    Anytime local and national calls

Don't you see Eircom does not have Unlimited landline to all Irish mobile calls??

    What do you think?

Just realised that Vodafone Unlimited still have fair usage policy:

Unlimited service carries a fair usage policy (FUP) and Vodafone reserve the right to charge for usage in excess of the advertised FUP or amend the service in terms of bandwidth speeds limitations or other measures such as restricting service types.

Chat with vodafone today they said their FUP for Unlimited home broadband is now 1000GB for new customers and the old policy will remain for the old customers signed for it at that time.

Do you know FUP Gb for Eircom unlimited broadband home?

Neither carrier would be particularly better than the other, same infrastructure, same speeds, same engineer that'll be fixing it, just a different name on the bill and different support staff

And afaik VFs upper fup is just a safe-guard to allow them to look into a customer going through that much data
