Eircom regular DSL errors

I don't know if this is common but every 2 days or so we get intermittent disconnections due to 'No DSL Connection' errors. Disconnections last anywhere from 2 minutes to entire days. Is this likely to be a problem with our internal hardware or is it an Eircom issue? We don't have anything connected to our phone line, just the F1000 router that was provided by Eircom.

Nope. Not by a long shot. You're connected to a cabinet within 150m of your front door. Might even be right outside.

Your upstream is crap, get onto eircoms helpdesk and have them check it and log a fault. Your upstream attainables should be more than 20Mb but you're maxing out at 15, could be ****ty cable used in the drop wire coming into the house.

Ah sorry, that thing. It's around the back of the house, about 15-20m. The technician kept referring to that as "the box" whenever I asked him about it so I assumed the exchange was the next step up the chain. Thanks for the advice, I'll get onto them next time we get our bill :)
