Painting over a chip in the door

In my bathroom i had a towel rack hanging off the top of the door.

One side of the rack eventually ripped off a little chip of paint, see photo.

Its a minor chip in terms of the entire door but its prominent as its the only blemish on the door.I have no idea what original colour of white the paint is but i'm hoping just to get something close and dab a tiny bit on.

Any ideas on the best/easiest way to cover up this chip?

Would a touch of white spray paint blend the chip in with the rest of the door?

If you're only looking to dab a bit of paint on (ie not fill in hole) I would take a small loose chip of the paint from around the hole. Put it in an envelope and bring to your local hardware store. They'll be able to match the colour and then you'll only need to buy the small sample containers for this. Only costs a few euro + at least it'll be the same colour :)

I would get some Polyfilla or filler of some sort and carefully fill it in. Sand it down a little to get the countours correct and you might not even have to repaint it as the filler might blend in
