I got an email through paypal to confirm that facebook have charged me €0.99.

I never gave any permission for them to do this.

Anyone know what this is about?

Don't know. FB doesn't charge for anything.
Did you message a non-friend? Why is your paypal and FB hooked up?
    Could mail be fake?

They charge for advertising, and it is through PayPal.

But you'd know if you signed up for it in general, and if you Boosted a particular post. It shouldn't be a surprise (unless it was for last month or something, and you've forgotten about it).

Have you checked you PayPal account (NOT by clicking on the link in the email!) to see if the transaction is there?

I don't advertise anything or boost any posts. I got the issue resolved via paypal.
