I have rooks nesting in my chimneys for the last couple of years. Normally they are not a problem but this year they are being particularly noisy seem to be fighting a lot and other rooks hanging about squaking and generally making a nuisance of themselves. Just wondering what is the best time of year to fit crow guards to keep them out next year

if you see smaller ones going about, you know they have hatched and are able to fly.

you could get them cleaned after that, and fit the guard at the same time?
