Hi, I am travelling to Cambodia and will be bringing a few hundred dollars - I know there are ATMs there but I have the money already ;-) Have you any tips or suggestions on the best way to handle money. Is it better to leave most of it in hotel room safe (if available)? Or carry it around in a pouch? Or any better options?

I use a pouch round my waist hidden under my trousers. It doesn't really get in the way of activities I undertake, so I wear it all the time. It seems to be invisible to airport security scanning machines so you don't have to take it off. (Unless they happen to spot a large bulge - I assume your dollars will be in twenties or higher.)

If it's just a few hundred dollars you can take cash. Remember you need to declare any currency over €10000 worth when leaving the EU.

Note that hotel room safes aren't always safe: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/07/17/hotel_safe_unsafe/

Actually, if it's "few hundred dollars" you could surely just keep it in your wallet? $500 made up of two $100 bills and 15 $20 bills takes up almost no room. And an iPhone + passport + RayBans, if you have things like that, would be worth much more.

Think I drifted off the point - obviously you're concerned about safety and the chances of getting robbed. So I suggest a pouch underneath clothing, and keep your passport there as well.
