VW Golf Vibrating @ 100kph.

Hi, 2006 1.9tdi Golf. Recently passed NCT, but have recently noticed that handling not great & car vibrates at/near 100kph.
A recent (4mths old) 'to-do' list from a main dealer noted that "Front wishbone back bushes cracked & perished"

At the time we didn't bother progressing, but now wondering if that could be at the root of the issue.

We got a local mechanic to look into half-shaft, and wheel-balancing, but this didn't resolve it. Wondering now if fixing this would resolve the issue.

    Any assistance appreciated.

Had the mechanic any opinion on it?

The rear bushing in the front wishbone is a common failure in Golfs etc and as , when worn , they allow the wheels to move quite a bit they can affect handling etc.
If they were showing signs of perishing etc 4 mths ago they could be in quite a bad state by now.

@Tony Beetroot: the mechanic's opinion was that it could have been the half-shaft (also quite common in VW apparently). They also checked wheel balancing, tyres, etc.

@dooroy: hopefully this resolves it. dropping it in tomorrow, will revert with feedback.

Well. Did replacing the bushings solve the wheel wobble problem ?
