    Hi Folks

Anyone working in the industry feel like sharing info on salaries in the motor industry these days?

Is it still small basic plus commission/ or per car set payment?

Also is there any f&i commission to be made?

    Many thanks

Starting salary can be as low as €20-€25k with commission on top. AFAIK commission is fixed on new cars and for used cars it is a certain % of the profit made on that car.

Normally there are incentives to sell F+I products and other aftercare products also.

Anywhere up to about 60k in a busy dealer would be about right.

Obviously it's heavily dependent on what you're selling and how much of it you can sell, a sales exec in a Ssangyong dealer in ballygobackwards would be earning buttons.

Outside of Dublin the salary can be much lower but it is all down to your Sales ability !
