Can't retrieve pin to declare car temporarily off road

    Hi

    Iv just bought a car off a family member however I won't be driving it for 2 or 3 months while I do some repairs,iv tried to get my pin on motor tax.ie but it keeps saying my details are incorrect.

    I'm not actually sure what details it's looking for,can anyone advise me on what I'm supposed to put in so I can proceed further?

    Your details won't be updated until Shannon update the Vic, it will still be in the previous owners name

    You've ten days after buying it to declare it off the road

    Keep checking the site as by the time you get the log book it could be outside the 10 days.

    As said above your details haven't been added yet.

    Can you not Fill in the sorn declaration of non use form and take it or post it to tax office.
