Looking for a French campsite with a difference

    Hi all,

My family (2 Adults + 2 kids aged 15 and 11) have been doing the car -> ferry -> campsite on the west coast (varoius sites over the years from St Jean de Monts in the Vendee region to down as far as Royan in Charente Maritime) and we love it but as the kids are getting a bit older they are looking for something a bit different.

We'd still like to drive and bring our bikes etc but would be open to trying activity/sport based sites and/or sites which are big into teenage centric entertainment.

We do enjoy spending time together, going out for food together and exploring around together either on our bikes or by car (like spending time on the Passage de Gois - http://www.amusingplanet.com/2014/09/passage-du-gois-tidal-causeway-in-france.html) but increasingly the kids also want their own time/space and whilst my wife and I are happy to give them that space we don't want it to mean that we're left with nothing to do but sit by the pool.

Any suggestions for campsites which are within driving distance from Roscoff/Cherbourg which offer a wide range of activities? Whilst we like being near the coast and spending the odd day on the beach we'd give that up for something inland if it ticked all the other boxes.

    Cheers.
