Door Bell Shenanigans

    Hi folks,

The auld fella wants a second door bell in his living room. So I want to get a second chime/bell and connect it to the existing bell. There's an 8VA bell trafo in place and the current bell is a very basic gong type that rings as the door bell's switch is pressed. Is that trafo enough to handle most types of modern bell, along with the old one?

Also, where would be a good place to pick up a basic and reliable chime/bell? I want one that rings while the button's being pressed, not a musical chime type that has a fixed length.

    Any help appreciated!!
