Which bale handler would you recommend? I would like to stand bales on end also. What kind of money?

I've a nugget here fine handler but I find the tubes are a bit bigger than others which sometimes makes it harder to get bales that are tight against each other. Tink I gave 1050 3 yrs ago. Wen u say end u mean the opposite to the way they come off the wrapper?

Have to say Reggie that is a nice looking loader,I've seen on other quicke loaders, they paint the grey part the colour of the tractor.

Yeah I could have got it painted but thought the grey would have suited here better

Is that the one that wouldn't work when you got it or am I getting you mixed up with someone else? If so was the old loader not able for the handler?

Thought it was a bit gas alright that you needed a new loader when you found out the grab would run on it.

Are you looking for one for the back of the tractor , single or double, or one for a loader

Have both the ordinary pipe type mchale and one similar to reggies here, if stackin bean tins the hands type is definitely the way to go, plonk them on trailer with a small bit of a gap between them and throw a row down centre on top the same, we loose a bale along the length alright but it's a lot easier, and as I think was said already bales are sitting on the trailer on the heavier wrap!

biggest thing I find is you don't have to be dead square with the trailer loading or unloading which makes it handier in a tight yard, and your not straining trying to look out under the loader to make sure the pipes are going in ok between bales, the hands are a lot easier to see. They do take a bit of getting used to but so does any handler really.
I did use the hands type once to stack bales on the rounds and it was ok but you loose reach after the second row so wouldn't really work...

I don't tink I'd ever go back to the pipes again. The hands are fierce handy for off loading in a tight yard once there a few off u can grab them from any angle the hands are way quicker. The only problem I've seen is last yr during the very warm weather the plastic was tending to stick to the steel even stacking them close together in the yard and pulling out between them was tearing the plastic on the other bale. I tink if I was to buy one again I'd definately look at the Mchale.

Top tip I got from a neighbour; when loading on a trailer is put an old carpet on the trailer, less likely to nick the plastic then

They're a good job as they grab the bale at the ends where the plastic is stronger, a few of them need bracing after a while at the pivot point.

Used the one with the curved top bar(were originally made by tanco) handy enough yoke to use, the roller on the end makes them easy to get in between bales! Big advantage is they'll manage round and square bales! And there also easy to put on and take off top row on a trailer meaning you can put on full loads very easy, just leave a small gap on bottom layer
