Missing photos

It seems that since the latest update on my Samsung Galaxy s5 I have lost photos that were saved to my phone. Albums in the gallery such as 'snapchat' & 'screenshot' have just vanished. I also changed SD cards around the same time but I'm not sure why this would be an issue as they were saved to my phone. Is it possible…
