Form to SORD a vehicle just purchased

    Can you SORD/is there a form to SORD a vehicle off the road that you just bought? within a set timeframe?

    You have 10 days from the date of purchase to SORD it. Keep an eye on motortax.ie (just input the reg no in the transaction enquiry section).
    Once it shows that a VLC is issued you can request a PIN online and declare it SORD online.
    You will have to wait until the system shows that a new VLC is issued (not just that they have been notified of a change of ownership).

    Done, I didnt notice anything about a mention of when the VLC was issued but the SORD processed ok.
