    hi folks

just starting out, bought 5 first calvers this week and each with a calf at foot. Have access to 15 acres at the moment with more as needed( 50+ leased at the moment). As regards payments BPS or SFP... can i still apply or what should i apply for. I was thinking of geting some advice from teagasc but i soupose it will cost and ive shelled out a fair but this last 2 weeks and decided i would ask on here first.

    thanks

    DD

Teagasc cost €250 a year so not too expensive. The date to submit bps applications was yesterday. You can still have late applications but penalties apply, 1% a day iirc. Get on to teagasc 1st thing Tuesday morning and see were you stand.

You badly missed the boat unless you have applied for sfp in 2013/2014?
