    200 euro, registry office, monday-friday.

You can then pay absolutely any amount to various characters (who are usually religious, but not the particular religion the couple object to) to do a legally binding ceremony somewhere else to your specifications. Sky is the limit, but I've seen 800-1000 being bandied about, depending on the drive involved.

Or, get the legal done, and ask a friend to do some kind of show ceremony.

thank god there are lots of options out there now if you like... Celtic Priest, Humanist, all sorts..Or you can go down the route after lets say going into the HSE office to just have a friend or a few friends say a few words..

The doors have opened up in the wedding world regarding religion which is great but can be a little daunting now looking into all the options..

Perhaps ye should talk and see exactly what ye would like and how much ye would like to spend. Humanist and Celtic priest they all have different charges around €200 - €500 I found when looking..

we are going for the option of having the register come to us on the day, but plan on keeping it all very non religious, they have a set list as such of things you cannot change in the ceremony but non of this is religious, so we were planning to maybe just have the family involved with the ring given and having maybe a poem or someone say a few words but nothing serious... we had to pay €225 extra for her to come out on the day
