Sharing a bed with someone

I'm currently being squished by the joint weight of someone's leg and arm as they spoon me from behind.

    This is hell.

How do you feel about sharing a bed with someone? Hate it? Love it? Do it in the hops of getting sex? Or lie in bed alone wishing someone other then your hand was there? I think me and my bed buddy will be having a stern discussion about personal space.

I really like a sharing a bed. My husband and I have a huge bed though and an even bigger duvet so we sleep really far apart and have our own space but still get to have a chat before falling asleep and wake up together.

I hate sharing a bed if it's cramped or if I don't have enough blanket to wrap around myself.

The girlfriends and I long ago decided to have seperate rooms - and so the choice to share a bed or not - so we could have the best of both worlds. We love sharing of course - but there are nights when you want nothing more than to simply close the door on the world - splay yourself all over the bed - and just be left alone.

A lot of double beds in France, Spain, Germany and places like this are actually two mattresses and blankets separate. So again you get the best of both worlds in a way.

    Love sharing a bed.

The boyfriend always makes me be the big spoon :pac: Means he's not annoying me by breathing on my neck.

Plus the bed is huge so I can move away if he's too warm or irritating me :)

My take on it after 25 years of marriage. He is 6 foot 4 and i am 5 foot 4 and he is a jumpy sleeper. Having regularly gotten an elbow in the face or a knee full force on the tailbone I called quits. We pushed two queen sized beds together and that is our bed, both can have loads of space and meet in my bed for fun. I love my own sleeping space :)

A knee in the balls soon puts a stop to this.

I like the intimacy of sharing a bed BUT I need lots of space to actually sleep so we invested in a really big bed. That way, we can snuggle but when we want to sleep we have loads of space.

Sharing a bed is the worst thing about being in a relationship.

Sleeping beside my ex was like being in bed with a badger....3 and half years of no sleep. We broke up about a month ago and I've had some epic sleeps since.

With my partner now coming up on 10 years, before we moved in together I would have spent many a night in her house, never had a bad nights sleep, plus her bed is huge and the most comfortable bed I ever slept in her mother gave it to us when we moved into our own place. She works Saturday mornings and I have it to myself, ohh how I love Saturday mornings, Sunday mornings are even better when she is here the things we talk about doing I say talk because we have children so no play time in the mornings for us ha ha ha

Those regular 4'6" beds are too small. Get yerself a decent six foot bed. Loads of room for both of ye without getting kicked during the night.

I love sharing the bed with my husband, we have a big bed and whenever he works nights I can't sleep well without him, it just feels weird without him beside me. I don't really do spooning because I get too hot and it annoys me.

I love my girlfriend a tremendously, but she's a nightmare to share a bed with.

Tosses and turns constantly in her sleep.
Wraps herself in the duvet, thus depriving me of it.
Splays her limbs over to my side of the bed during the night, or just altogether moves over and confines me to about one fifth of the mattress.
    Is a furnace.
    Snores sometimes.

It wouldn't be unheard of for me to get up an relocate to the couch at 3 in the morning.

The only sensible way to get your feelings of annoyance across OP is to beat them with your penis until they gtfo

I would suspect that the OP in this case doesn't have a penis.

I love sharing my bed so much even the dog gets in between me & the OH in the mornings :pac:

He likes to burrow under the quilt, so I'm forever protecting my nads as I sleep commando

Good god no. HATE being breathed on.

I'm the same, it's horrible. I always make him turn over so I don't have to deal with it. Then if he farts it's right onto my crotch. Can't wait to get a king size bed.

Marriage is an alliance entered into by a man who can't sleep with the window shut, and a woman who can't sleep with the window open.

Rule of thumb to keep the happiness and sanity intact, always use a duvet bigger than the bed and never use a flat sheet for couples.

I share my bed with a medium-large dog. So I hang off the edge with next to no duvet whilst she hogs the rest

sharing bed without enough space makes my hip hurt and arm numb like craze the following morning.

I made the mistake of buying a queen size bed a couple of years ago and learned the following. No matter how big the bed, your woman will never have enough room.

Adding a small child who has woken during the night into the equation is the worst. One partner on either side of the bed clinging on to the edge of the mattress whilst a toddler lays sideways across the bed having a lovely auld sleep.

    Glazers Out!
