Regardless of whether its dermot bannon or another architect, the houses they design all seem to have white walls and ceilings. Whilst it looks lovely in houses with big windows and loads of light, does it look well in a normal housing estate house?

You'll have a pain in your head if you paint everything white!

We got tired of buying paint and paint samples only to apply them and find that they didn't reflect the colour on the samples or that they were different because of "my lighting" conditions.

Eventually went back to the matt white we had applied as an undercoat.

If you get a washable paint, i don't see why it would be a problem.
The beauty of it is that:
    - if anything happens (marks, scratches etc.) i just need to crack open a can of dulux washable matt brilliant white and coat it over. No trying to remember what colour i used in this room or that.

    - everything else Blends in or pops out beacuse of the stark contrast.

Being a painter I love colours and I have to say going all white is very cold it gives the sense of a bigger area that's all its good for, that's why architects use it alot it makes their build look bigger

I have white walls and ceilings in my house and for me it's great. With dark ( walnut ) flors and in feature doors also will looks lovely. White interiors makes your rooms optically bigger and I think they're great especially in rooms with small windows, makes your room much brighter

    Regards
