Dosing gun maintenance

What's your dosing gun and syringe maintenance procedure? I was them out with water and fire them into a cupboard. With the dosing guns, a scum forms on the inside chamber making it difficult after time to operate, getting stuck etc. What's the best thing to do, oil them every time, wash in boiling water or leave water in the gun/syringe when in storage?

Rinse syringe in hot water and disinfect with savlon ready for next use

Can't beat a bit of lube, I use liquid paraffin to keep things moving.

I think your supposed to use a silicon based lubricant. Doesn't perish or crack seals

Bit of cooking oil on the plunger and moving parts after cleaning. Makes operating it next time much easier

Use liquid paraffin on the oral dosing gun. Normally get a free one every year when buying dose, so we have a small collection of them. Never use it on pour on guns though as I reckon it may affect the uptake of the product.
