When we were moving home a few years ago I went down to the shopping centre and went around the back and found a skip at the back of the 'River Island' store full of cardboard boxes all flat packed. I filled the boot with them. Cost = Nowt.

    Most places use a compactor.

Walk into a bigger store and ask the floor staff if they have any boxes.

If you're not going for freebies then storage units sell them and there are usually online shops to get them from.

Homebase ones are half the price of the ikea ones.. Plus you don't have to go to ikea!

    Double win.

    Although for an extortionate price.

Don't go buying f*cking boxes. My girlfriend sent me to get a crappy packing set of bloody boxes for 30 quid for 6 boxes or some sh1t. I went straight across to the pub/hotel and came back with enough boxes to pack the library of congress for free. Boxes they get their serviettes in, beer bottle boxes, etc. The waitress was delighted she didn't have to stamp them flat and throw them in the dumpster. Corona beer boxes are strongest.

Local supervalu, tesco or similar will have no problem giving you boxes, go around your local area to businesses you will have more boxes than you know what to do with !

    Seriously?????

I do a LOT of selling on ebay and use a load of card for packaging.

get it all from Tesco (from the fruit section) or Spar
