I've never seen Quell Water until recently. Apparently it is produced locally - is Galway Water seen as a liability?

Somebody might have taken a liberty with "Quellwasser" which is German for Spring Water :rolleyes:

It's synonym for quench so I think they've taken poetic license with the phrase "Quench your thirst".

Or maybe someone on the marketing team is a fan of Richard K. Morgan.

Quell sounds soooo much sexier and adult. Even though technically quench is grammatically correct: quenching your thirsty satisfies it, quelling it is simply suppressing it.

'Tis all about marketing and perspective, though.

And ahh, yeah, "Galway" ain't actually a great brand for water. Synonymous with crypto for quite a few people, still.

The mob actually dont pay attention about its meaning if it sounds good. Quelle means what in French doesnt it ? Would it not be Quelle ? if the name of the water was ''Quelle'' it would sound fancy or something. Otherwise if its Quell then marketing fail. :pac:
