Had an interview on 19th of May for GTI, Business Studies course. Interview went very well, but worrying about getting accepted as I forgot to bring a copy of my birth cert for them to keep as they asked for it in the letter they sent before the interview, completely forgot about bringing it. Does anyone know or have any advice as to know whether this will affect me getting accepted? Been stressing out about it.

I can't tell how they mark the interview in that college, but where I work we have marks for everything from presentation to work experience to documentation. If you came to interview with us and forgot some documentation you would have lost a couple of marks. Which might make no difference if you did very well in other areas, but it would depend on how many they interviewed and how many places there were.

If you feel you did a good interview, it probably didn't make much of a difference, though.

Could you not send them on a copy even now, possibly certified by the Gardai to be on the safe side.

To be honest, if he was being given marks for bringing documentation to the interview, the marks he was given would still stand even if he brought in the certificate now...

The interview panels are finished, and the lists are made up.

But as I said, if he did a good interview, it probably doesn't make a difference, unless there are a lot of people going for the same course.

I was thinking more along the lines of the certificate being required for them to offer a place and to not have provided it would automatically rule him out.
