    3 Months offered without commitment.
Just use a German IP - a browser addon like Hola or Zenmate will work and then just follow the link.
You can use an existing account, or sign up.

I used Hola Unblocker on Firefox, set it to Germany and then redeemed the offer no problem! Thanks man, works perfectly.

Does this have any benefit over spotify?

    Yes; it's free.

Last time this came around I cancelled my subscription within the timeframe and got charged anyway. So did others on here. I appealed it with Paypal and it got refunded immediately without fuss.

    Yes; it's free.

    But it's a bit if a poor man's spotify
No Metallica at all! Probably others missing

One major problem (for me) is that you can shuffle an album but not the entire artist

If it's free, no harm. But to pay for deezer over spotify it's spotify for me

Meh, the Metallica thing is a non-issue at this stage.

I've used the premium service on both, the range of music available on each is almost identical. The Spotify mobile app is definitely easier to use, but I found that the 'suggested' artists on Deezer were generally more in line with what I'd actually like, Spotify would make some crazy suggestions.

So overall, definitely not a poor man's Spotify and if it's free, then it's a no-brainer.

Thanks just got this working now :-)

I have deezer for more than 6 months now and there is absolutely no difference between that and Spotify except the layout!! Any artist u can get on Spotify is on deezer, they both have the same source! Its all about the layout you like better, simple!

    Got 12 months free Deezer with a Sonos:PLAY 1..

.. while I like it, I do prefer the abundance of playlists in Spotify - fantastic for finding new music.

Deezer basically had "editor recommendations" and "top charts" - and that's about it!

Doesn't seem to work if you have an existing account which is already premium+

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Worked like a charm for me - first time subscriber. Cheers.

You can get deezer half price for a year as well. Bose for example with a qualifying serial number from one of their products. A quick search on YouTube for an unboxing video will get you a serial :)

    Thanks OP.

I had Deezer about 18 months ago. The Android app has really improved a lot since then. Nice one :D

That's crazy, I'd no idea that was how it worked.

Using a VPN for Germany makes it tell me that it's coming soon to my country when I click to get the 3 months. :(

    Then your VPN isn't working.

If I cancel it now can I still use it for the three months?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 471 ✭✭raytaxi

I cancelled it yesterday after I set it up, account is valid for 3 months and has no recurring sub. When I check it just says account expires in 3 months :D

    British. Apologies.

You could have included that information for other people's benefit instead of just being sarky. But each to their own.

Free for 3 months if you have a Note 4.

I would have said English too but I guess that's not the correct term!

Anyway good enough offer for anyone who missed out although as far as I'm aware Spotify are doing 2 months for €0.99 and it'll work from Ireland, sorry, Republic Of Ireland

    Is Hola safe to use?

    I'd imagine Zenmate is better/safer.

Free for three months for Chromecast users.

Just go here with the Chrome browser: cast.google.com/chromecast/offers/

(You'll need to connect to your chromecast for the offer to be displayed, that's why you'll need to use Chrome for this).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,355 ✭✭✭cruhoortwunk

3 months coming up on this offer. Just in case people forgot to cancel.
Cancel early and you will still have access up to the end of the 3 month period

My 3 months went by and I got charged £9.99 for the following month, so I cancelled.

Next time I opened the Deezer app after cancelling, a notification popped up offering another 3 months for 99p.

So, fyi cancel and you should get another 3 months for 99p.

Did they provide you with a code by any chance or are the offers locked to individual accounts?

    Cheers
