    hi guys,

I have a macbook and I've just installed ubuntu.

i have my macbook connected to an external monitor, along with an external keyboard and mouse.

everything works great except for the external monitor.

the external monitor does not appear on the 'display' menu.

i have a late 2011 macbook, and it has the following graphics card:
Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB graphics

I'm delighted with ubuntu but this is a real stumbling block if i can't find the driver, or whatever it is I need to get ubuntu to output to my external monitor.

    thanks for your help,
    ed
