Has anyone any tips for the family law courts?

I'm in in the nest few weeks for the first time.

Will I have to speak much or will the solicitors do most of the talking?

Stay calm and just listen to what you are being asked. Try not to get emotional.

    Solicitors will do the talking

Depending who's brought who the applicant will be brought to the stand and sworn in,their solicitor will ask them questions in what the would like and why ,then the respondents solicitor will "cross exam" if you will

That then switch around to the respondent and then the judge makes a ruling on what they feel is best based on the evidence provided to them
    .
Then if you don't like the decision you have 14 days to appeal to the circut court

I went in in February. .had an absolutely joke of a ruling. ..appealed it to the circut court and had a judge who saw sense and I got my appeals granted

From your screen name I would hazard that you are a lady so at the risk of being flamed you should have no problems.
