Hi, I'm turning 17 in August and will be getting my leaner permit. I won't be able to get insured in my dads Peugeot van as apparently you have to be over 25 to get insured on a commercial van. My mothers car is a Land Rover discovery and not a hope will I get insured on it. So what do ye think is the cheapest car to get insured on if I decide to buy one myself? Thanks for reading

Insurance costs are so dependent on the individual's circumstances but generally small 1.0 to 1.2 litre hatchbacks are seen as the cheapest to insure for young drivers. Something like a Polo, Clio, Yaris or Micra.
