hi guys i own a 07 vectra and recently had the starter reconditioned about 2 months ago.everything was working fine untill monday night when it would only start at the 2nd time of asking.now today its still doing the same thing.should a starter go this quick.seems 120 euro gone down the drain already if thats the case.is there anything else it could be like maybe a wire connection.car is very well looked after and it gets service every 7k miles.its getting a service in the morning should i get him to look at it again.by the way its a new mechanic im going to.maybe george dalton can advise me or diagnose it better than me if he is on here now.cheers guys

Have you considered the battery in your 8 year old car maybe the original ? and is on its way out.

Battery lifecycles can be 7-10 years depending on environment and usage.
