    Hi guys,

Apologies if this thread has come up before.

Im in the market for a new bike, the cycle to work scheme has come round again for me.

I just wondering if there really is a massive difference between a shimano sora and shimano 105 groupset, for the purpose intended. Im an evening and/or weekend cyclist, I like to do the odd 40km during the week and maybe 60-100km at weekends. Im going to be doing a few Olympic triathlons too. I have a cube aerial with sora groupset and to be quite honest its done me grand. I could do with better, but its not exactly essential. I wont be doing any races......well, maybe one. Do I really need a 105 groupset costing €1300+?

    thanks in advance

11 Speed 105 is a big step up from Sora.
No need to spend 1300 euro, guy here at work got a Cube Peleton Race with full 105 for 999 euro or 480 after bike to work....hard to see how there is a better bike for the money and when you can get 105 at that price you would be crazy not to.

What bike are you thinking of upgrading to? Another aluminium Cube with a slightly better or same groupset? That seems a bit pointless.
