What's your karaoke song and the song you cannot help but dance to?

I like to warble lots of songs but particularly Band Of Gold - always singing. Love it.

Dancing not so much - prefer to be sitting down in the pub for the night than ag damhsa... until I hear Let's Go Crazy by Prince (only sub par live version available) - you could do about 50 different types of dance to that tune, it's all kinds of fantasticness.

I sang at a karaoke bar for the first time in my life last week. I did two songs, Japan - Ghosts, and David Bowie - Life on Mars.

    Still don't dance though

Might do the backing vocals here (Church on time! Church on time!) wouldn't be able to carry it. :)

Japan ghosts in a karaoke bar? Didn't think they have that for a karaoke, wonder how the people in the bar take to someone signing ghosts. My brother would have jumped off his seat to sing that. I had to listen to him singing along to his Japan songs in the 80s sharing a bedroom with him!

Ghosts is an absolutely brilliant song, but... not very... *singable* :)

Boy mercury shooting through every degree
Oh girl dancing down those dirty and dusty trails
Take it hip to hip rocking through the wilderness
Around the world the trip begins with a kiss

    Singing this now

Came to love Japan but when David went solo it just got too weird for me.

Take me down where the love honey flows
Kiss you nice, nibble your toes
Take me down where the good stuff grows
Love you nice, tickle your nose

Getting in the swing of this now :D

Lose yourself to the dance ya eejit, sing up

Left a good job in the city
Working for the man every night and day
And I never lost one minute of sleeping
Worrying bout the way things might have been

No I'll just sit over in the corner and tap my foot occasionally and hope nobody notices me!

Open your eyes and look at the day
You'll see things in a different way

    It'll be better than before,

Come show me your hardcore feelings, with your raving meanings
cause I don't know the way to groove.
I've never learned to dance this fast and I don't know how to move.
When the beat's kicking hard and the beat's kicking low, yeah you'd
think it is too neat. I'd rather like to dance with like we did cheek
    to cheek.

I think I have enough in me for one night.

Harry Truman, Doris Day, Red China, Johnnie Ray, South Pacific, Walter Winchell, Joe DiMaggio!

I like to sing this as it requires little actual singing :P

Yeah but I prefer the verses. I feel like an extremely uncool white female rapper

Mine would be Garth Books "Fever". I nail that one in Karaoke any time the audience is drunker than I :)

I have to give the best potential Karaoke performance however to Damien Rice.
