Im about to pull the trigger on a Fizik saddle for my AR, the standard Felt saddles are shocking. Looking for something for long spins and maybe tri's further down the line.

Im looking at bike-discount as they have a decent sale on at the moment, in the hope I can get it delivered before W200 (what's the chance of that?) but just not sure which to go for.

My budget is no more than 80 so Im limited to the Arione, Aliante or Antares.

Anybody have any input / experience before I place my order :)

I had antares - it was like cycling on a stone, have aliante on its way which Im hoping will be much better for me as it resembles my old saddle which is ok-ish and seem to be much more padded. But again will have to test it to see if it works for me.

Cheers Omri, thats what Im thinking. My winter bike has a Specialized Riva saddle which is cheap as chips but comfortable and similar shaping to what I would say the Aliante would be!

You should go to base2race exit 10 on m50 they have aliante in stock although at staggering price comparing to online, they do however have an earlier model of aliante at around €80, its sitting behind all others. So do check maybe it will do for you.

They do bike fits as well don't they, might be an idea as I need one of those as well!

All depends on your build and flexibility really. Most good bike shops have test saddles. I have tried loads of saddles, ha have the aliante on my commuter and recently picked up an ardea vs cheap on ebay. Very happy with it,

I picked up the arione R5 above the other day if your order now you should have it by early next week.

It's a quality saddle very hard saddle if that's not your kind of thing it's longer than a standard saddle though and gives a nice bit of room to move around on it.

So far I'm happy enough with it a bit of getting used to compared to my old saddle.

I'm not sure a new saddle is a great idea a few days before the WW200 I'm still in two minds about changin back myself before the WW200
