Bit of a misleading title there :/

They're legit - lots of folks here on Boards would recommend Shipito.com, myself included - I've used them several times

and theyve never scammed you? i want to buy a bow worth 150 dollars so i needed to be sure, thanks. i also want to keep the cost down so if i put the value at 30 dollars is there any way they would know?

Nope, never scammed. What do you mean about keeping the cost down? The forwarders don't care what value you put on any item they send on your behalf - if the package is stopped or queried by customs you'll still be liable for any duty/tax - more info here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055862554

i calculated the cost on ship it to and they asked for a value of the item which then influenced the overall cost, if i out 50 or 30diwn instead of 150 then its customs not shipito that will care?

If you declare false value and item is lost in transit you'll have trouble getting a refund more than the declared amount.

If Customs intercept they usually ignore value declared on package and ask for proper proof of price - similar to PayPal invoice. The days where you'd get away with labeling it gift or under declaring are long gone in majority of cases, especially if using a courier.

Assumes website is a scam, while declaring false value on a shipment :pac:

Customs are not stupid. They can, if suspitious, value anything at the current market price in Ireland, not necessary as the USA or Chinese price if you can not proof a real cost.

will i get any extra fines?

They'll value it at the highest price they can in the local market and charge you accordingly.

Customs have these things called computers and even a thingy called the internet on their computers.

Where there's a doubt on value or they thing a false value is declared they will simply look it up and apply the first value they see + they'll apply estimated shipping charge and then apply duty and then apply vat to all that.
