Be louder than her in everything you do. If she complains tell her that you need to be that loud to drown out the noise from her

Take a sh1te in her letterbox and put her head through a window.

    Don't go too overboard though.

Another noisy neighbour thread, not that I'm complaining or anything. I know exactly what the OP has to put up with. We've had five or so years of noisy neighbours. Shouting kids, shouting parents, doors slamming, etc, etc. Thankfully, there haven't been unannounced very late night parties for some time.

Unfortunately, our walls are quite thin, which we never really noticed until the crowd moved in and noticed just how loud they are. Wooden floors and open-plan rooms downstairs don't quite help either. My parents have been here nearly 40 years, and never had many issues with the next door neighbours. The lady there before this shower moved in was great, and there was barely a sound from her.

There's not much that can be done, sadly. If it's rented accommodation, complaints can be made to the landlords. If they're just homeowners, there's sod all to do. Move? Nobody should be forced to move out of their own homes because of the sheer lack of consideration and cop on from neighbours, especially if they have been in the same home for nearly 40 years, and my parents have been.

Make more noise than her start beating your chest infront of her and start pissing everywhere.

Make this your kingdom. You can be the Alpha Neighbour.

I know its another noisy neighbour thread. This is a great reply so cheers. The fact is.. Ive been here just over two weeks now.. Telling my friends to keep their voices down when they come over, to not slam the doors or play the music too loud. I thought I was being considerate but after hearing her for the passed two weeks.. I just feel like a mug for even trying to be quiet for her. Its frustrating

Answer her. If you here her ask a question on the phone answer it as loud as you can.

Apartments are a nightmare for noise. We lived in one for a few months and we could hear the people above us when they used the en suite toilet. It was horrible listening to people in the apartment above us and on either side of us. In the end we moved out as it was just too much.

    Here's a radical idea

try telling her! Just tell her you can hear all of her conversations and ask her to keep the noise down. Give her a chance to STFU - if that doesn't work, see posts above

I've lived in the same house for 11 years. So have my worst neighbours.

I can hear them shouting at each other when they're in an argument (which is quite fun to listen to, I must admit).
And when they're having a party about something they play music, on a stereo, in their back garden, all day leading up to late at night, Hell. If I had a shotgun I'd march into their garden and that would be the end of their extremely loud music.
Their house was raided for drugs not too long ago, not related to noise though.

Tell her you can hear everything through the wall, including any conversations she might want to be private.

Isn't there a facility to pursue it through the district court if they are home owners? - http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/environment/environmental_protection/noise_regulations.html

Marry her. Knock down the dividing walls between your apartments- hey presto, it's party time!

Noisy neighbours are such arseholes. While you can't expect things to be whisper-quiet in an apartment complex, a handful of people exploit this by making absolutely zero effort to minimise noise at night/very early morning.

Nope, if she has.. They would have run away, as any creature with ears would do

I once lived beneath a ham fisted fool who was trying to teach himself bass guitar. Started (with an amp, the horrible sh1tbrick) at around midnight most nights during the week. He was tuneless and devoid of any sense of rhythm. Hateful.

I think in the end I have to credit him with my marriage, started spending more and more time at my OHs apartment and in some small way he probably contributed to me moving in with her, subsequently getting engaged and married.

I hate you bass fumbler, but well played all the same.
