Hi folks...bought a 2nd hand audi a4 from a garage last week in good faith that the car was in perfect nick.
Turns out i was wrong...noticed a vibration while driving...garage tried at first fob me off with tracking blah blah...but after standing ground and inspection, the driveshaft needs replacing. Garage are going to do job.
My question is...the car is 5 years old and they'll remove gearbox to replace shaft...am i going to have further trouble with this car due to this?
This is such a deflating experience...you hand over hard earned monies and expect to drive away from a garage trouble free. Thanks for any comments.

Didn't think you would need to remove the gearbox to replace a drive shaft - but if so it maybe worthwhile for them to replace clutch dmf kit for peace of mind ( assuming its a TDI). I wouldn't be too worried about any future issues caused by removing the gearbox if its a reputable garage who know what they are doing. Assume you checked car out for service history etc
