fainting and dizziness

So basically I have had to fits/faints over the last ten years, they have ruled out epilepsy.. Saying it's fainting in the form of a fit, the first time it happened I had the test done where they attach electrodes to your head, can't remember what it's called, then said it wasn't epilepsy and it was a once off, then a few years later I had another one, then had a tilt test done, was told it's low blood pressure and nothing more was done about it and that if I get the feeling that I'm going to faint that I just have to sit down...
I Would often get these dizzy feelings, usually in shops and it's gotten to the point now that I'm scared to go into shops or anywhere, I had to turn down an excellent job because they were in a shopping centre and feel faint every time I go there..
Also when I was on holiday in 40 degree heat I had to stay in bed for most of the days
Was just in the doctors told her how worried I am and she basically dismissed everything I was saying amd told me I should eat more salt and that I would grow out of it,
Does anybody know anything about this?! I would really appreciate, I'm afraid to go to a different doctor incase they dismiss me aswel, thanks

Funny enough, you have just described all of what my son went through a while back, tilt test included.
His medical team also said it was to do with low blood pressure, for which he was prescribed a slow release Low Sodium medication, which helped him a lot.
Did they not try you on anything for the low blood pressure?

Nope, haven't given me anything, when I asked the doctor is there anything I could do she told me to keep salt sachets in my bag, so I asked her what about dioralite, she said that it would work great, I have to fish for information from the doctor

At the time my son was quite tall for his age and the cardiologist said it was not an uncommon problem. He has more or less grown out of it (meds are finished) but does still have the odd spell, but that could now be down to a different problem.

How did you do on the tilt test, did you pass out or stay alert?
In our experience it was the cardiologist that prescribed the medication and monitored him on a regular basis (every 6 - 9 mths).
Ask for a referral back to see a cardiologist and see what they have to say.
Getting information from some of them can be hard, you just have to keep asking.

I had these symptoms for years and nothing was diagnosed until they tested for long qt syndrome. This is to do with your heart and is the gap between heartbeats. If the gap is prolonged from time to time then thats when the fainting occurs. It is managable by medication and I havent had an episode in 3 years. Not saying thats what you have but might be worth checking out

During the tilt test they put droplets of something under my tongue, then my blood pressure started to drop and I felt like I was about to have a fit, but they stopped it before that happened, thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it
