    Hey lads,

My dad has been trying to upgrade his 70mb broadband with O2 and they keep telling him that the fastest our area (Whitehall, Dublin) can get is 80mb.

I think they're saying this to stop him going to UPC but I'm not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

O2 DSL = Three DSL now. Eircom, Sky, Vodafone, Magnet, Three(o2) can all offer the same speed, in your case 80Mb, UPC is coax and can offer you 240Mb.

Really, less than 1% of users will notice the difference between 80 and 240Mb.
