    Hi,

    Not a big urgent question but I always find that boards has the answer(s).

    I am currently thinking of buying a golf (about 2013 up) but my head is being turned by a scirocco. I know there is a big difference in price so I am looking at a 2010 or 11 scirocco.

    I am a big fan of both cars but if anyone on here has experience with these cars from driving, running cots and overall feel.

    I know the golf is probably the more common sense choice but I am relatively young and I feel now would be a good time to has a car.

    I know first world problem but I know boards is a good place to ask.

    The Scirocco is actually based on the previous generation MkV/VI Golf and shares alot of parts. They are showing their age now though imo especially the interior. Can't imagine there being a huge difference in running costs between one and a Golf except maybe around insurance. The 2013 onwards Golf would be more modern if not as stylish looking.
